2019 Future Exhibition & Convention Summit Discusses the Future of the MICE Industry
The Seoul Tourism Organization recently held the 2019 Future Exhibition & Convention Summit on August 28 at Coex, the city’s top convention center. More than 200 MICE stakeholders, including members of the Seoul MICE Alliance (SMA), Korea Exhibition Organizers Association, and association buyers were in attendance.
A MICE Forum was held under the theme of ‘How to Communicate with Millennials’ and ‘The 5G Era Is Already Here’. The gathering gave attendees an opportunity to discuss modern social trends and present new perspectives and innovative directions for the future development of the MICE industry. In addition, a meeting was held for participants to share success stories and ways of attracting international conferences and exhibitions.
One SMA member attending the event said, “It’s not easy to gather these diverse MICE stakeholders in one place. This event was a great opportunity for us to share our opinions about MICE with SMA members as well as with exhibitors.”
Convergence MICE is one of Seoul’s key MICE policy directions designed to increase economic added value by holding international conferences and exhibitions. Through this event, conferences, association officials, exhibition planners, and SMA members gathered together to exchange opinions and network for future MICE industry.
