The large-scale incentive tour for SIP Group of Indonesia

1,200 executives and staff members of SIP Group of Indonesia, a global company that manufactures and distributes daily necessities, visited Seoul for an incentive tour in three groups from August 26 to August 31. An incentive tour is a reward offered by a company or an organization covers the cost of the tour in whole or partially.


The incentive tour for SIP Group included a variety of programs that are only possible in Seoul through PLUS SEOUL, a program sponsored by the Seoul Convention Bureau. The tour bus they rode was wrapped with a banner of SIP logo to make the executives and staff members feel tighter belongingness with their company. Some of the tour participants were spotted happily taking group pictures with their thumbs up in front of their company logo on the bus.


At the dinner on August 28, “The Painters Hero” put on a special stage in front of all the executives and staff members. The show was a customized performance specially prepared for SIP Group. The tour participants couldn’t take their eyes off the show even for a moment, while the performers painted pictures and danced at the same time. At the peak of the show, loud applause and cheers broke out as the SIP group logo was dramatically presented to the crowd. It was the part that the participants were most impressed by during the show. They said later that they felt very special because the show was tailored exclusively for SIP Group only.

The SIP Group also visited Mt. Sorak in Gangwon Province and the Hallyu (the Korean Wave) tourist spots in Chun-Cheon (Nami Island and the So-yung River Skywalk), utilizing the Seoul Convention Bureau’s co-marketing program with other cities and provinces.


The Chief Marketing Officer of SIP Group Andi Gunawan said, “To make an incentive tour successful, we consider many aspects such as cultural heritage sites, natural landscapes, cultural traditional cuisine, and supports and benefits provided by the local government. In this regard, Seoul is a city that offers diverse experiences to the extent that no other city can offer. Another strong advantage of Seoul is that people can feel like they are part of the lives in Korean media that they admired watching. Also other various cultural activities and shopping are always exciting in Seoul,” and expressed the satisfaction with their choice of choosing Seoul as their destination.
