Meeting Rooms

With growing numbers of international congresses being attracted to Coex, the center has built a reputable repertoire of experiences in holding large scale events. A variety of modern convention facilities such as Hall D with a capacity of 7,000 visitors, Grand Ballroom for 1,800 guests, and the large Auditorium that seats 1,058 people make the Coex Center an attractive destination. All meeting rooms are well equipped with stateof-the-art A/V systems.

Grand Ballroom

The Grand Ballroom can be partitioned into five rooms and is fully furnished with high-end A/V and lighting systems, allowing event planners to create the perfect mood. Event accompanying exhibitions can easily be set up in the Grand Ballroom: as a pillar-free space, furniture can be rearranged to accommodate any style of event. Moreover, with swing doors at the entrance, it’s possible to allow large crowds convenient access to the hall. The spacious and attractive lobby can be used as registration area, for coffee breaks and receptions.

Conference Room North

Room 201(ASEM Hall), part of Conference Room North, is an elegant, circle-shaped room that accommodates up to 120 guests in banquet style. This unique room was specifically built for the Asia Europe Meeting in 2000 here at Coex and features a Korean traditional embroidery called “Five Peaks with Sun and Moon” and a beautiful sun dial. There are seventeen translation booths in the room. Surrounding Room 201(ASEM Hall) are twelve meeting rooms suitable for related events and small seminars.

Auditorium

Art and function merge in a luxurious as well as high tech environment. Located on the third floor of the Coex Center, the Auditorium is a large theater with a wing shaped ceiling and fan shaped seat arrangement that delivers excellent acoustics.
It is the perfect venue for conferences, opening ceremonies, musical performances and award ceremonies. Around the Auditorium, conveniently located, are rooms that can serve as office space and VIP rooms as well as an area for food and
beverage services. The spacious lobby of the Auditorium can be used for coffee breaks as well as poster sessions. With an amazing view onto Bongeunsa Temple through a giant glass window, the lobby is very popular among visitors to Coex.

Hall E

Located on the third floor, Hall E is a multi-purpose hall that evokes a contemporary, sophisticated atmosphere. Efficient event planning is made easier as the hall can be partitioned into six rooms. Hall E is popular for conferences, weddings and longterm events. Larger conferences often use Hall E as lounge or networking area.

Conference Room South (Third & Fourth Floor)

The 30 rooms of the Conference Room South on the third and fourth floor can accommodate a wide range of events. From small boardroom meetings to seminars for up to 300 participants this flexible space allows for room partitions into 51 smaller rooms. Conference Room South is ideal for seminars, conferences and parallel sessions with a large lobby for coffee breaks and snacks.

Grand Conference Room

Located on the fourth floor and part of Conference Room South, the Grand Conference Room is a theater-style room that seats up to 450 guests. Tiered seating allows for excellent visibility and group participation in a more intimate theaterstyle
arrangement. The Grand Conference Room is suitable for seminars and information sessions while the fixed screen, lighting and high-end A/V systems facilitate the production of any necessary effects for musicals or other live performances.

Exhibition Halls

Coex is the ideal location for your special event. With its broad range of multifunctional facilities that can be tailored to accommodate any kind of event Coex has become a very popular venue. It hosts more than 200 trade shows every year in order to showcase the Korean industry and to welcome foreign businesses. Coex maintains
almost 30% of the market share of the domestic exhibition industry in Korea. In close cooperation with international exhibition organizations such as APECC, UFI and IAEE, the center has attracted many international exhibitions. In 2001, Coex was nominated by Association Meetings Magazine as one of the world’s top 10 exhibition & convention centers. In Korea, Coex is well-known and is also the center with the most years of experience.

Hall A

Located on the first floor in the heart of the Coex Center building, Hall A is the place where most large scale exhibitions are held. Hall A takes up 10,368 m² and can be partitioned into four halls, accommodating roughly 520 booths. Because of its location, size and layout this hall is the best setting for large-scale exhibitions, as well as specialized exhibitions and large-scale meetings.

Hall B

Located on the 1st floor in the North Wing of Coex, Hall B has room for up to 360 booths. Hall B is a highly space-efficient because the few pillars in the hall are spaced out in wide enough intervals to grant maximum flexibility in managing the area.

Hall C

An extended pillar-free area, Hall C can host any type of event. This exhibition hall is located on the 3rd floor of the main building and is roughly the same size as Hall A (10.348 m²). Its strength lies in holding large-scale events and banquets, as well as specialized exhibitions and other multipurpose, combined events. Hall C can be divided into four halls. Partitions are possible between Hall C1&C2 and Hall C3&4. However, there is no built in partition between Hall C2&C3, so that organizers would be responsible for this expense. Also, 520 booths can be installed, giving it an edge in attracting
specialized exhibitions and large-scale meetings.

Hall D

Hall D is the largest pillar-free hall in Korea. Ideal for plenary sessions, concerts, large banquets and even exhibitions, Hall D fits the best of both worlds: The comfort and convenience of a meeting room, and the space and facilities of an  xhibition hall. Like our other exhibition halls, Hall D features conveniently located loading docks, trench infrastructure
(including electrical, communications, water, and compressed air), and swing space adjoining it to other exhibition hall space. Unlike our other halls, Hall D has a warm atmosphere, due to its honey-colored, marble interior. For quality  exhibitions or events for up to 7,000 people, Hall D is your best choice.

Coex Mall

When visitors come to Coex for conventions or exhibitions, they will find that Coex is much more than a trade and meetings facility. With Coex Mall and many other features the center provides everything a guest could need ‘Everything under oneroof’. As the largest underground mall in Asia, Coex Mall has a lot to offer. Here you can find shopping, entertainment, fine dining and cultural activities. Visit the 16-screen multiplex cinema, Megabox, the Aquarium, the Kimchi Museum or just shop ’til you drop.
Restaurants

Coffee Bean, Starbucks, Pascucci and Dunkin Donuts are just a few of the many coffee shops here at Coex. There is something for every taste.

Megabox consists of 16 theaters of modern and spacious interior. The theater features the European Film Festival annually and hence provides its audience with a unique experience unlike any other here in Korea. Since its opening,
Megabox has been a popular destination for people of all ages.

Aquarium

Located inside Coex Mall, the Aquarium is divided into four themes: an Ocean Theme Park with 40,000 creatures of marine wildlife of 650 species, the Water Journey where visitors experience other diverse marine life following the water from a high mountain to the deep sea, the Undersea Tunnel,  which passes through 2,500 tons of sea water
and a walkway that takes you through exhibits of sharks and other marine life.

Kimchi Museum

The Kimchi Museum at Coex Mall introduces 187 varieties of kimchi to its visitors. Kimchi, which is made of fermented cabbage and spicy hot pepper sauce, is a Korean staple. The different variations are made with radish, garlic stalks, eggplant and mustard leaf, and many other ingredients. Visitors can learn about the history of kimchi, how it’s
made and about its nutritional effects. It is believed that kimchi is beneficial to our health and that it is great for dieting.
