Global Artist Jennie Showcases the Charm of Seoul to the World

Seoul Metropolitan Government & Seoul Tourism Organization Appoint Jennie as “Honorary Ambassador for Seoul Tourism” and Launch a Major Global Campaign

 

The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourism Organization (President and CEO, Ki Yon Kil) have appointed global K-pop artist Jennie as the ‘2025 Honorary Ambassador for Seoul Tourism’ and are launching a large-scale campaign to promote the city worldwide.

The campaign slogan, “Absolutely in Seoul”, captures the city’s endless charm through sophisticated and stylish visuals. By combining Jennie’s unique style with Seoul’s diverse landscapes, the campaign aims to deliver a fresh and memorable experience to global audiences.

 

The first video, “DALTOKKI (Moon Rabbit)”, is produced in the form of a short film, following Jennie as she explores iconic Seoul landmarks such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, Nodeul Island, and Seongsu-dong. The second video, “SEOUL CITY”, uses Jennie’s track “Seoul City” from her first solo album Ruby as the soundtrack, highlighting the special synergy between Jennie and the city.

 

Campaign content will roll out sequentially starting with a teaser release on July 31 (Thu) at 2:00 PM (KST) via VisitSeoul’s YouTube channel and official social media platforms, followed by the two main videos and an interview clip. Alongside the videos, interactive online programs will include an event inviting audiences to share their “must-visit spots in Seoul” in the comments, as well as digital poster goods of Jennie and Seoul. The promotional videos will also be broadcast through outdoor advertisements in major overseas cities such as the United States and Australia, and via global TV networks including NBC Universal, reaching audiences across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Through this initiative, the city aims to boost its brand presence and contribute to achieving the goal of attracting 30 million international visitors to Seoul.

 

Ki Yon Kil (President and CEO of the Seoul Tourism Organization) stated, “Through this collaboration with Jennie, we will effectively showcase the diverse charms of Seoul to the world and strengthen efforts to attract global tourists.”
