2025 MICE Global Expert Inauguration Ceremony Successfully Held


 


The Seoul Tourism Organization (CEO Kil Ki-Yon) successfully held the ‘2025 MICE Global Expert Inauguration Ceremony’ on Saturday, May 10, to foster future talent in Seoul’s MICE industry.

 

‘The MICE Global Expert Program’ is designed to support young individuals interested in the MICE field by offering educational opportunities and hands-on field experience. It aims to nurture skilled professionals while assisting the MICE industry by connecting it with verified, well-trained personnel.

  


Approximately 100 individuals who passed the document screening for the ‘2025 Seoul MICE Supporters’ program took part in the ceremony. The program included sessions on an orientation for Global MICE Experts, basic training for Seoul MICE Supporters, and team-building activities.




The official ceremony began with an introduction to key MICE support programs, including the Seoul Convention BureauSeoul's dedicated MICE agencythe Seoul MICE Supporters, who serve as on-site staff for MICE events, and the Talent Pool, which enhances professional capabilities through hands-on training and mentoring.

 



In particular, ‘the Seoul MICE Supporters program’ matches individuals who have completed basic and safety training with MICE event organizers in Seoul. By covering 50% of activity expenses, the program reduces labor costs for organizers while providing valuable field experience for young participants.

 

 

Lee Youngmi, Director of MICE2 at the Seoul Tourism Organization, welcomed the new participants, stating, “We warmly welcome all the Global MICE Experts who are taking their first steps on a global MICE journey. The Seoul Tourism Organization will continue to support the development of future MICE professionals by nurturing irreplaceable skillsskills that even AI cannot replicateas we grow together with the MICE industry in Seoul.”
