Introduction

Musical Fanta-Stick is based on the myth of ""Ja Myong Go"" and ""Arirang"", a popular Korean folk song. The program uses traditional Korean fusion music with traditional instruments- a gayageum (zither-like string instrument), daegeum (bamboo flute), and ajaeng (string instrument) as well as physical performances- singing, and brilliant percussion performances using traditional theatrics and drums to delight your eyes and ears. In the beginning, there was a man and woman who brought beauty to the world! As a sign of love, the Heaven bestowed them with a heavenly drum and a heavenly daegeum (bamboo flute). However, the woman became jealous of the heavenly drum that the man possessed so she tore the drum and the heavenly daegeum was also vanished into thin air. A family of string instrument players sinned and turned into ghosts wandering among the living. The only way for them to become human again was to find the missing daegeum and create ""fanta-stick"" music。
